Hello and welcome to Canchasin' Association Junior Series! We are a non-profit association, promoting the sport of barrel racing in Northeastern Oklahoma. Our goal is to provide a family-oriented organization with a Christian atmosphere. Our Junior Series will be held the last Thursday in June and continue on Thursdays through July. Our mission is to provide a venue for children 0-19 the opportunity to hone their skills in barrel racing, pole bending, flags, goat tying and undecorating, and a new little something we call goat ribbon roping! This series is meant to be a "step up" from the local playdays. It is intended for kids that are wanting some more exposure to the rodeo scene before beginning the tougher junior rodeos. Our main goal is to provide a friendly, supportive atmosphere for our youth to learn while protecting their parent's "pocketbook" with lower cost entry fees. Come join us our first year in 2008! goat ribbon roping (consists of teams of two, no age groups on this)
ALL EVENTS ARE ONLY $5 EACH! GOAT RIBBON ROPING IS $5 PER PERSON!
We will not have a nightly payout. Points will accrue in each event at all 6 rodeos. On our July 31st rodeo we will be awarding MONEY according to the most points accrued during the series as well as PRIZES. Prizes and money will be determined by the number of entries we have during the series.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS SERIES. IF YOU'D LIKE TO HELP OUR YOUTH OUT IN WHATEVER WAY, LET US KNOW. WE'D APPRECIATE IT! We are also looking for parents who are able to run the concessions. We are hoping the food can be donated and all the money earned be used for the awards.
